A PLYMOUTH teenager has been charged in relation to online bomb hoaxes made to airlines in North America.
A 15-year-old boy, from Plympton, was charged yesterday after an investigation by officers from the Operation Zephyr Regional Cyber Crime Unit.
The boy was charged with three offences under Section 3 of the Computer Misuse Act which relate to denial of service attacks on websites at locations in Europe, North America, Africa and Asia.
He was also charged with two offences under Section 51 of the Criminal Law Act. This relates to bomb hoaxes placed with airlines in North America via social media.
The 15-year-old has been bailed to appear before Plymouth Youth Court on Friday, December 18
